Las Vegas' Most Luxurious Five Star Resorts
Five star is a serious and honorable designation. Any hotel worthy of the award works hard and diligently to meet rigorous criteria. Friendly, professional staff members, perks for the guests, sumptuous rooms and suites, grand lobbies, cleanliness throughout the property, and a general royal ambiance suggesting the customer is king or queen, are all hallmarks of what five star means. And while there are several luxurious resorts in Las Vegas, they do not necessarily translate into five star. In fact, very few meet the requirements of the Five Star and the Five Diamond Awards.
Throughout the years different hotels have qualified as Las Vegas' most luxurious five star resorts. But for the purpose of this article, we will highlight those from the AAA Five Diamond list announced in November 2008.
Bellagio, having won this coveted distinction eight years in a row, recently opened The Executive Suite Lounge in January 2009 to provide another level of VIP service to its already guest-oriented profile. Some of the amenities include preferred seating at MGM MIRAGE entertainment venues and restaurants, complimentary refreshments in the lounge, and limo service from the airport. With good reason, Bellagio takes pride in its magnificent spa, the mesmerizing and breathtaking production of “O™” by Cirque du Soleil®, and the beautifully majestic Conservatory & Botanical Gardens.
Four Seasons, although not a resort in the sense of a theme hotel, is nonetheless a serene resort for those wishing to get away from daily life. Tranquility, peace and rejuvenation are the pinnacles of this luxurious hotel. Signature treatments, Zen relaxation lounge, and Eucalyptus steam rooms in the spa are all components of this proclaimed oasis for relaxation.
Skylofts, a luxury boutique hotel at the top of the MGM Grand on the twenty-ninth floor, has also been honored with the 2009 Mobil Five Star Award. Offering fifty-one suites with Swiss showers, personal butler, in-loft dining, two-story windows, choice of pillows, and aromatherapy scents make this hotel a perfect addition to the list of Las Vegas' most luxurious five star resorts.
The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, claiming to be the largest five diamond resort, boasts extravagant suites with private terraces, private in-suite office area, and televisions in the bedroom and living room. Known for its romantic wedding packages, and named one of the "Top 5 Catering Departments in the World" by Meetings and Conventions magazine, The Venetian with its charm of old-world Italy makes any bride's dream come true.
Wynn Las Vegas is as picturesque and as posh as a palace. Beautifully designed golf course over which luxury suites extend, exquisitely landscaped gardens surrounding two large pools, two Jacuzzi spas, and an European bathing pool, massage cabanas, and extraordinary meeting and convention areas, Wynn has won many hospitality awards in the few short years it has been open.
Truly, the five mentioned hotels are examples of the Las Vegas' most luxurious five star resorts.
